Dear Emily,
Here it is your 30th birthday and I want you to do something as you read this blog. I want you to think about the very many people who love you. You inspire everyone who reads your blog with your candor, your opimism, you love of others, your courage and your strength. I know that you are a lighthouse to so many people, not the least of which is me. I don't have three weeks to write all the things I admire about you, but I just want you to know on your 30th birthday, that you make me want to be a better husband and father everyday. I'm running out of things to do to make myself worthy of your companionship, your love and your patience!
I miss you so much when I'm away from you that I even begin to miss you when I'm with you. It's a good thing we have an eternity together, because it will take that long for me to get enough of you.
