From sister Sarah

My little sister cannot be turning 30! That would make me... old! But at the same time it is difficult to comprehend she has accomplished everything that she has in only 30 years! Emily is the smart, fun, creative, funny little sister that everyone should have. I probably took her for granted when we were little, sharing a room and staying up late making "gaggies" and playing "Do you have...". Looking back, I realize that not everyone is fortunate enough to be so thoroughly entertained by a sibling as a child! She was always the perfect blend of creativity and organization. So few people have both! Oh, how I admire her organization skills! She has used her amazing talents as a wife and mom to create beauty around her and those she loves. She has never shied away from doing the difficult things in life that bring the greatest rewards. She puts her whole heart into every challenge. She is beautiful inside and out. Oh, I love you, little sister! I am so grateful you were born! I have been saving a very special treat to share with you on this most momentous birthday: a chocolate treat shaped as a #1 to remind you that you ARE #1! Oh, wait. Darn. I just remembered that someone ate it. Sorry. I hope you are able to have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY anyway! I love you!
